Use case

Repository to Infrastructure

Generate deployment-ready Terraform/OpenTofu from your repository, including dependencies, IAM, and governed policy checks.

Platform engineering teams spend most of their time bridging the gap between application intent and cloud infrastructure reality.

OrchesTerra closes that gap by transforming a repository into a structured infrastructure plan you can review and govern.

The workflow

  1. Connect a git repository to OrchesTerra.
  2. Run repository intelligence to discover services and their relationships.
  3. Generate an IaC baseline (Terraform or OpenTofu) for the discovered services.
  4. Estimate the expected cloud cost for the generated resources.
  5. Validate the generated plan against your governance rules.
  6. Send the governed plan to a reviewer for approval.
  7. Apply the approved plan to the target cloud accounts.

What you get

  • IaC modules aligned to your repository structure.
  • Provider-specific resource definitions for supported clouds.
  • Generated IAM and least-privilege policies appropriate for the discovered services.
  • Governance checks and an approval-ready plan context.

Where approvals and drift matter

Generation is the starting point; safe operation requires ongoing governance. If your cloud state changes outside your IaC, you’ll see drift before production impact—and you can reconcile with a governed workflow.

FAQ

Does this modify my repository?

No. OrchesTerra reads repository signals for discovery and generation and then produces the IaC outputs for review and deployment.

Can I customize what gets generated?

Yes. Treat generation as a baseline. Update inputs, module choices, and sizing so the output matches your platform standards before applying.

How do I start?

Start with a 14-day trial and connect your first cloud account.
